When most newbies come online and sell, they see $19 ebooks being sold and think that it's the easiest thing in the world to do. However, little do they know that selling an ebook at any price is a cake walk. If you want to get sales, and get lots of it (no matter the price)... you have to put your marketing engines in gear and rev them up.
Now... there are some people online who are so desperate for a sale, that they go and promote a $7 ebook. Ebooks are "electronic books" that can be immediately downloaded after purchase, and you have unlimited amounts of them. But the fact that people continue to try and sell these $7 ebooks without success amazes me.
And in particular, people try to sell these kind of products in highly competitive niches. This is the worst thing that you can do. It's in your best interest to sell these products in obscure and un-heard of niches. Truthfully it doesn't matter if you sell a $7 product or a $27 product... people will buy both of them at the same rate - no matter the price. So it's best to increase your product price so that you can earn more profits.
In fact, that's something that I would like to talk to you about. Let's consider this for a moment. Let's assume that you wanted to make $100 this month. If you were selling a $7 ebook, it would take you 15 sales just to reach that quota. Now if you were selling a $27 product, it would only take you 4 sales to reach $100. Now which one do you think is easier?
You're deluding yourself if you think that you will make more money online with a $7 ebook as opposed to a $27 ebook. If the sales description is good, if the product is good, and you have a good niche... there's no reason why you should be selling a $7 product. It will take you more time to make money, they aren't easy to sell, and you could be making more.
I know you may be thinking that because it's at such a low price, it's going to be incredibly easy to sell them. But this couldn't be further from the truth. The fact of the matter is that the work that you have to put into selling your $7 ebook, you will have to do the same work for a product that costs 3 times as much.
And how will you get wealthy with a $7 product? You will need an amazing backend marketing strategy if you want to pull this off. But instead... you could start off with a high product price point, and start profiting just off the frontend system alone. This is what a lot of people do online.
And then eventually, you can create products that start from $100 and above. People won't be afraid to buy this kind of product from you because they're already accustomed to paying this much from you.
$7 ebooks just won't cut it. You will find yourself online making $14 for the whole entire month. Then you may go through 2 whole months without a sale. And then the following month, you may get lucky and get one new sale. It's just not a reliable system to be using if you want to make the money in your business that you are looking for.
